Whether you are drawn to the softness of spring flowers, the lightness of summer breezes, the warm colors of autumn, or the enveloping warmth of winter, express your creativity and show us your interpretation of the season through your needles.

Whether through the choice of colors, textures, or pattern type, the idea is to capture the unique atmosphere of each season. Select a yarn and project that match the temperatures, colors, and needs of the current season, and show us how you knit it!

You have the choice of knitting an existing pattern, modifying it or creating your own pattern.

Jury and criteria

Each season, two members of the Madolaine team will serve as judges to evaluate your magnificent creations. They will review all your projects based on four criteria:

  1. Respect the seasonal theme : The project should accurately represent the season in question. For example, for winter, it could be something cozy and warm, while for spring, we might expect fresh colors and floral patterns.

  2. Technique : The technique must be well executed. Regular stitches, neat finishes, and the absence of visible defects would be important criteria to demonstrate mastery of the technique.

  3. Choice of fiber : Pay attention to the choice of fiber according to the season: opt for a light and breathable wool during warmer periods, or a thick and insulating wool for winter.

  4. Overall aesthetics : Colors and patterns should not only match the season, but also be harmonious and visually pleasing.

Their goal is to reward the creation that best embodies the spirit of the competition while encouraging innovation and passion for knitting or crochet.

PRICE

A total of $2,200 to be won, or $550 for each season.

Jury Prize – $350 : This prize is awarded to the project that captures the hearts of our jury. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced knitter, every project has a chance to stand out.

Drawing – $200 : To encourage everyone to enter, a drawing will be held during the Facebook Live winner announcement. The drawing is completely random, meaning everyone has an equal chance of winning.

how to participate

Every knitting or crochet project you submit gives you a chance to win a prize, regardless of your skill level or experience. Here's how to enter:

Buy your yarn from Madolaine : For your participation to be validated, the yarn used for your project must come from our store. Make sure your purchase is recent (less than 6 months old) so we can associate it with your registration.

Create your project: Let your creativity run wild and create a project that represents the current season.

Photograph your project : Once your project is complete, share your pattern details with us along with photos of your creation. Make sure to take photos that show the entire design. You can add multiple photos to highlight the details of your knitting.

Complete the form: To ensure your participation is taken into account, make sure you complete all fields on the form, including your order number and information relating to the project completed.
