Accord de chaussettes is a pattern designed by Suzel Paquette for Madolaine, conceived as a playground for exploring color balance and freedom of construction.
With a fully striped sock knitted using the Helicoidal method, the pattern invites you to explore color combinations, play with contrasts and rhythms, and create a pair that truly reflects your personality.
This freedom is also expressed in the construction of the sock. Knitted from the toe to the leg, the pattern offers several options. It provides an opportunity to discover different techniques thanks to the choice of two heels (Fleegle or Bird's Eye) and two borders (broken rib or cat's tooth hem). An invitation to explore, understand, and play with the options to create several different pairs of socks from a single pattern.
We suggest knitting it with our M Classique Michelange Uni and Michelange Marbré yarn. Soft and comfortable thanks to its 75% superwash merino and 25% nylon composition, it highlights the definition of the stitches for a precise and elegant finish.
A perfect balance between discovery, learning, and the pleasure of knitting together.

Description: Two Colors, a Perfect Harmony
Accord de chaussettes is the subtle meeting of a solid yarn and a marled yarn, brought together in a gentle, rhythmic play of color. This design is conceived as a true composition, where each round adds its own note and balance.
The construction begins at the toe using the Judy’s Cast On technique, then develops through helical knitting, which alternates the two colors seamlessly, without any visible jogs, for a smooth and harmonious flow. Two heel options are offered — Eye of Partridge or Fleegle — to suit different preferences and provide a custom, comfortable fit.
A creative and adaptable pattern, ideal for exploring contrasts, showcasing beautiful yarns, and creating unique pairs that are just as enjoyable to knit as they are to wear.
