20-hole wooden button for embroidery

There are many ways to fill the twenty holes in this style of button. For some examples, see the listing photos. The holes are left empty so you can embroider them with your own needle and thread or embroidery floss. These buttons are a great way to personalize clothing, add color to baby items or spruce up your accessories with a special touch. These buttons can go in the washer and dryer, but as with most things made of natural materials, they will likely last longer if washed by hand or if the item is dried flat. When using these buttons in an area where they need to be functional, first fill the holes, then attach the button to the garment using only a few of the holes. If you only use holes more toward the center of the button to attach it to the garment, the button works better. Use only one or two plies of thread to fill it if your thread is very thick.
