-Hook 4.0, 5.5 and 6.0 mm

Gauge : 10 cm x 10 cm with rib stitch in sc and hook 6.0 mm = 17 sts / 28 rows

NOTES AND TECHNIQUES
This pattern is knitted in side rows and sewn together at the end. All stitches are knitted only in the back loops. To make the hat, some rows are short to form the top of the hat, the double edge is crocheted only in slip stitch and the center of the hat has rows of single crochet to add a ribbed effect. For the snood, we use the same stitches as the hat without making shorter rows.
With the leftover wool (around 50 g), she made a baby hat (size 3 to 6 months). She replaced the single crochets with half double crochets and used a 5.5mm hook. A different model but just as charming. A nice little gift to give to a mother-to-be.
