Setacolor Opaque colors can be applied to pre-washed fabrics: cotton, wool, cotton-wool, knit, jersey, velvet, jacquard, polyester, fiber blends, non-wovens and even leather.
They can be used pure or diluted with water to obtain watercolor effects. Their rich texture is particularly suitable for a wide range of textile decoration techniques: brush, pipette, pad, silkscreen, stencil, etc.
When used with Setacolor auxiliaries, other effects can be achieved by multiplying techniques.
For airbrush use, make an initial mixture of 50% water / 50% Setacolor lightening medium (ref 391014), which will serve as a dilution base. Then make a second mixture with the chosen color, 50% Setacolor Opaque paint / 50% of the first mixture for airbrushing. To fix the Setacolor colors, iron on the reverse side of the decorated fabric, insisting for 5 minutes and setting the iron temperature to “cotton” without steam. The fabric can also be placed in a domestic oven: after 5 minutes at 150°C, the colors are set. Once set, the colors are resistant to washing in a washing machine. Dry-cleaning is not recommended.
